The London Ceramic Association (LCA) promotes and encourages the practice of ceramics across London. Through various initiatives and events, the association serves as a hub for ceramic enthusiasts, providing a platform for connection, collaboration, and the promotion of the art form. The LCA plays a central role in bringing together individuals passionate about ceramics and contributes to the thriving ceramics landscape in London.
Problem
The LCA plans to develop a mobile app for pottery enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s. The app aims to promote the love of ceramics in everyday life and build a community where members can interact, sharing hints and tips and collaborate. It will allow users to book classes and events, communicate with other members, and track their progress. Promotional materials for a print campaign will also be created to advertise the app and upcoming events in London.
Solution
Clayful’s new app has a modern design with a user-friendly interface. The colour palette is minimalistic with a bold orange as the primary colour. The app’s elements feature a subtle texture that enhances the tactile experience, evoking the feeling of working with clay. The imagery depicts social scenes, meetups, and classes to create a welcoming environment. I decided to focus on the user journeys in the app, from login to booking and confirmation. This helped me create an app that meets pottery enthusiasts’ needs and preferences.
